Henry Cejudo left the sport just when he was building momentum on a bigger scale amongst people that just began watching the sport. Given how much the UFC has progressed now, Cejudo wants a piece of the pie.

Triple C has been making various comments about returning to the octagon and calling out other fighters. The business isn’t that simple, though, as it takes a lot more than comments and call-outs to make your way back into the fight maze.

Given how hard it is to crack into the promotion with a big payday, Cejudo might have a different opinion this time around. In an interview with MMA Junkie’s Danny Segura, he talked about a potential return to MMA and what’s stopping it.

Henry Cejudo on his UFC comeback

Talking about hindrances to his return, Cejudo stated, “I don’t I don’t think so. I think the way that things are going, I think I talked too much sh**. I think I picked on Dana a little too much, that he’s just not going to pay me. And I’ve accepted that this is why I’m able to fu***** just, you know, throw out the kitchen sink from now on because it’s never going to change.”

He continued, “He’s going to pay George, he’s going to pay Masvidal, he’s going to pay the one percent. He’s going to pay the entertainers, yeah, and that’s partially what I am. I’m an entertainer. I can sell a damn fight, and I can fight better than all those dudes combined. You know what I’m saying it’s just it’s it sucks, but that’s just the way it is, and it’s his business. I’m not mad; I’m just, you know, maybe a little frustrated. But I ain’t mad, that’s just life, dude, yeah.”

Cejudo seems to have made up his mind about the outcome of his return with the UFC. Starting from scratch in the UFC is not an option because he would have to start his entire career again.

The former double champ is looking for a payday and is sure Dana White isn’t going to pay him.

Potential opponents for ‘Triple C’ if he ever returns inside the octagon

Out of all the possible opponents that Triple C could challenge would be former champ Petr Yan in the bantamweight division. In the featherweight division, however, Cejudo could make history by taking on Alexander Volkanovski. Cejudo vs. Volkanovski would make its way into the history books.
