They will face each other once again at UFC 271. As the fight inches closer, fans are excited to see if history repeats itself. Both of them look ready to be back in the octagon. In the wake of such an interesting fight, Adesanya spoke about his upcoming fight and shared his thoughts about his opponent.
When asked if people are putting too much stock into Whittaker‘s last three performances, Adesanya said, “Yes… way too much, like to the point where I’m just like did he like invent like a new move or something. Did he reinvent the jab or I don’t know what? But yeah, he improved, but not to the point where people are like bloated up to be the proportion.”
“I think people just have low standards, that’s all,” he added.
It looks like this could be an extremely tough fight for Adesanya. ‘Bobby Knuckles’ is coming off three consecutive wins against Darren Till, Jared Cannonier, and Kelvin Gastelum. However, Adesanya is the current middleweight champion and is at the top of the division. Therefore, fans cannot miss this one.
Can Robert Whittaker defeat Israel Adesanya?
After his previous loss against ‘The Last Stylebender’, Whittaker is highly motivated to defeat Adesanya and recapture the title. ‘The Reaper’ feels that Jan Blachowicz has proved that Adesanya is beatable. As a result, one can be sure that Whittaker has been studying Adesanya’s fight style.
Furthermore, many from the MMA world believes that Whittaker has a good chance of defeating Adesanya.
