Rafael dos Anjos and Paul Felder are set to headline this weekend’s UFC card. Originally the main event was set to feature RDA taking on Islam Makhachev. Unfortunate health issues, however, resulted in Makhachev to pull out a week before the fight.
With 5 days’ notice, Paul Felder stepped in to save the lightweight main event. Veteran fighter Felder, who had seemingly retired, seems to have jumped at the opportunity to be a company man once again. With both fighters making weight, the main event is ready to go.

Rafael Dos Anjos returns to lightweight
Dos Anjos is a former lightweight champion and will be moving back down to 155, following a brief move up to welterweight. While RDA is coming off of 2 consecutive losses, UFC President Dana White still holds him in high regard.
“Well you know what I think of him (Dos Anjos),” Dana told the media. “I think he’s an absolute stud. Every one of his fights is exciting and it’s gonna be interesting he looked good.”
With a move back down to 155, it will be interesting to see how well the former champion looks back at his weight class.
Paul Felder was training for a triathlon
Dana White continued to give credit to both fighters for dealing with the late notice change like professionals. Felder stepped in on just five days’ notice to make 155.5 pounds.
“I mean those guys, both look really good, both in great incredible shape. This guy (Felder) didn’t just roll in, he’s been fighting forever. He knows how to fight and he’s in phenomenal shape because he’s been training for a triathlon so it’s a good fight.”
