Alex Pereira fought Sean Strickland in July earlier this year at UFC 276. Pereira won the fight in the very first round. Alex Pereira, however, disclosed that he was scared of Sean Strickland when he entered the Octagon. Strickland is a former King of the Cage middleweight champion. He has been fighting professionally since 2008.

He also mentioned that the very intense looks from Strickland actually made him cautious. He said he would have been casual and in danger of being defeated if Strickland would have goofed around.

Alex Pereira’s middleweight title has surprised many fans.
