In a conversation with his dear friend Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a story about a young Islam Makhachev. The heartwarming and wholesome story is something that the UFC fans and especially fans of Nurmagomedov and Makhachev will love to hear.

‘The Eagle’ narrated a story to Daniel Cormier, “In the year 2000, we’re going same school with Islam (Makhachev) and he was younger than me like three years.” Moreover, the MMA co-coach of the year added, “And it was like in gym and they go to one tournament in other city. He and my big brother Shamil. They go like 15 people only 2 guys become champion, Islam and Shamil.”

While narrating the story, the former UFC champion added, “Okay Shamil is the champion, I understand. But who are you? He is this small guy like 24 kilos. He come back with gold medal.”
