Meanwhile, the Brazilian fighter is ready to face any challenge that comes his way to the welterweight gold. In a recent interview ‘Durinho’ revealed names he wants to fight next and also talked about a few other important things.

While in talks with TMZ Sports Burns said, “I want the one that will get me a clear way to the title. If that’s Leon Edwards, that’s the one that I want. If I need two more fights, give me Masvidal now and give me Leon Edwards later, I’m not going to lie to you. I want to fight everyone in that division.”

Burns added, “Every top opponent I want to face. I still have a dream match with Colby. Also, I still want a rematch with Kamru. I want to beat Masvidal, I want to beat Nate Diaz, I want to beat Leon Edwards. I want to beat every single guy, especially a tough one in that division. It’s no pressure. It’s just that if you want to fight for the title, you have to beat this guy, that’s the next guy. And I do believe it will be between Leon and Masvidal for my next fight.”

‘Durinho’ lost his first title shot against the Nigerian nightmare, Kamaru Usman, via third-round knockout at UFC 258. However, the win over the top contender ‘Wonderboy’ has brought Burns back to the win column.

The (20-4) record holder is ranked #3 in the welterweight division of the UFC. This makes him a viable prospect for the 170lbs gold. However, Colby Covington is next for the title match against Usman, as per the UFC president Dana White.

Also, after bagging a spectacular win against Nate Diaz, British fighter Leon Edwards has made himself relevant in the title race. Hence, Burns might not get a title shot next but a few more wins in his column will surely increase his chances for the welterweight gold.
