The entire scenario became wicked when Gaethje’s remarks on Masvidal resurfaced on the MMA Fighting On SBN YouTube channel. Gaethje seemed to throw shades on Masvidal when a doubt was put in front of him. The Journalist asked him, “It seems like the plan is to have Jorge Masvidal wrap the belt around the winner here but he is a team mate of Dustin he says he think Dustin is going to win. Do you even want him to do that if you win this fight?”

Addressing the journalist, Gaethje answered, expressing his desire, “Yeah! I want to make him do it. That will be nice. Because I know he will hate it, so I will love it that much more.”

He even mentioned finding extra enjoyment in the situation, knowing Masvidal’s reluctance to do the same. Gaethje has also expressed his road to the championship glory in the past. Shooting the breeze about the contest, ‘Gamebred’ had also predicted Poirier to win the upcoming bout previously.
