What is going on with Alex Pereira and his ex-girlfriend Merle Christine? After Pereira recently revealed the reason behind his split with Merle, the latter shared her side of the story and was quick to respond. Despite what ‘Poatan’ had to say about his girlfriend lying to him, Merle Christine shared a story on Instagram, where she claimed that Alex Pereira was just making up things.

She appeared to dismiss his reasons, stating that he was fabricating the reasons because he was hurt. Christine wrote, “Lol. Hurt man are really trying to invent whatever.”

She further wrote, “Obviously, I was married in the past, (Alex was too) but I got separated before I started a relationship with Alex,” However, she refused to further give any explanation about the reason behind her break up with Pereira.

Alex Pereira’s ex-girlfriend explained that she was surprised at what had transpired after she broke up with him. She could not believe that people started pointing fingers at her, believing that she was dating another man while being in a marriage and having a husband. Merle Christine clarified that it wasn’t the case. She further stated, “You guys are stupid to think I could move statss having a husband? Lol.”

Nevertheless, she offered some more details surrounding her separation from Alex Pereira, claiming that it was she who made the initial move for a split. “I broke up with Alex btw, and if I would start to speak about the reasons here it wouldn’t end good guys. Peace out.”

It has been a while since the internet was speculating about the end of their relationship. However, there was no confirmation as neither spoke about it. But in a new conversation with ‘Full Send’, Pereira said, “Well, it’s a little hard to talk about this because for me, I already deleted this person from my life. I would also like to ask my fans to also delete her from your life.”

“It was a person I believed, I put her in my house, with my family. After all, I found out, she was married.” Post these comments from the UFC champion, Merle offered her explanation.

Since both Alex Pereira and Merle Christine have different takes on their separation, we still don’t know what took place. Nevertheless, it is clear that they are not together. It remains to be seen if there will be more details surfacing in the days to come. On the UFC front, Pereira last fought Jiri Prochazka in November 2023 and won the bout to become the UFC light heavyweight champion. Hence, fans await his next fight.
