The knockout king of the UFC, Derrick Lewis, will take on ‘Shoey’ sensation, Tai Tuivasa, as the co-headliner of the second PPV event of the year. Both the heavyweights are fan favorites and can turn up an enormous swarm of fans for their bouts with their hilarious antics.

It seems that their efforts to do so have already started as Tuivasa revealed that he accepted the Derrick Lewis fight while he was drunk and could not notice what came his way. ‘Bam Bam’ claimed that it wasn’t until the morning that he realized what he had done.

“I was on the piss; I was blind. I didn’t notice until the next morning that Mick Maynard (UFC matchmaker) messaged me and I had messaged back. He messaged, ‘Are you awake?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah’; it was like 4:30 in the morning,” Tuivasa said.

“And then I woke up to 20 missed calls from my manager, from my coach Sully [Shaun Sullivan] and sh*t like that, so I was like, ‘Something must have happened.'”

The ‘Shoey’ might be Tuivasa’s trademark, but ‘The Black Beast’ will not let him do it in Texas, literally.

‘Shoey’s from Tai Tuivasa disgusts Derrick Lewis

Although Derrick Lewis is himself part of some seriously nasty antics, there are some things that disgust him more. For example, a ‘Shoey’.

In an interview, ‘The Black Beast’ told Main Event that he absolutely dreads the idea of drinking from his shoes.

“I just don’t like the beer-drinking out of the shoe… I don’t like all that. That’s nasty. My feet smell cheesy. I just can’t imagine just another man’s sweat in.”

Both of the fan favorites will lock horns in Texas on the co-main event of UFC 271. The fight card is headlined by a middleweight championship bout between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. With four superstars leading the event, it surely promises to be a banger.
