Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo has been making waves in the MMA sphere ever since he put forth his desire to come back into the octagon. He was able to do it, partly, as he accompanied Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 270. But he wants more than that.
‘The Messenger’ has already made it clear that he will be coming for the belt, to turn that ‘Triple C‘ into a four. However, the UFC has been stern in their refusal to let him have a title shot on his return. The company clarified that he will play absolutely no part in the featherweight title defense of Alexander Volkanovski.

As a result, Cejudo has now shifted his focus to a lower division, and its interim champion, Petr Yan. In a conversation with Daniel Cormier, ‘The Messenger’ called out ‘No Mercy’ disrespectfully.
“I would love to beat that ugly potato face, Petr Yan, in Russia,” said the 2008 Olympic gold medalist.
“Hell yeah, I am going out there like Rocky, in style with my Gucci shoes, Chinchilla suits. I am going out there. Dude, I will massacre that dude in front of his own country. The only thing is man, I just want that bag full of money, man. I believe I deserve it.”

Henry Cejudo joined his apprentice Deiveson Figueiredo at the first PPV event of the year. ‘The Messenger’ was able to ensure a victory for ‘Daico’ against his former The Ultimate Fighter colleague, Brandon Moreno.

However, the judges’ decision faced a lot of flak, as many believed that it was ‘The Assassin Baby’ who did more. One of the prominent figures to call this decision out was ‘No Mercy’ himself. He ended up taking shots at ‘Triple C’ amidst his disagreement.
“Not impressed, I think @HenryCejudo need to quit coaching just like he quit fighting,” Petr Yan tweeted.
