UFC lightweight contender, Paddy ‘The Paddy’ Pimblett put up a dominating performance against former interim lightweight champion, Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson to get the win at UFC 296. Nevertheless, despite an interesting matchup, fans were more excited about the main event of the night.

The main event highlighted Leon Edwards and Colby Covington and the beef between the two fighters was as real as it could get. Covington in the press conference leading up to the fight, insulted Edwards’ late father. Most people did not agree with Covington on this matter, which included as included Paddy Pimblett. Here’s what ‘The Baddy’ had to say.

Paddy Pimblett slams Covington for his remarks

Pimblett in the post-fight press conference blasted Colby Covington for using the name of a deceased person for entertainment. Paddy stated, “You don’t speak about people’s dead relatives. You know what I mean.” He went on to explain how that was beneath him. ‘The Baddy’ continued, “I’d never ever mentioned someone’s dead relative. If someone mentioned anything about my Nan or Grandma, I’d kick them in the face.”

Pimblett also went on to support Edwards stating, “So I understand Leon throwing a bottle at him. Like I wish Leon would’ve snapped his jaw then. So that we had to get it wired shut for saying something like that.”
