Ronda Rousey, the former UFC bantamweight queen, once called out the undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather after defeating him and becoming the fighter of the year in 2015.

‘Rowdy’ is inarguably one of the greatest female combat sports athletes on the planet. She had the most dominating run in one of the biggest fight promotions in the world UFC.

Rousey was at the peak of her career when she received nominations for the ‘Fighter of the Year’ and ‘Female Athlete of the Year’ at the 2015 ESPY awards. Floyd Mayweather, Gennady Golovkin, Terence Crawford, and Donald Cerrone were other athletes who were nominated alongside the American wrestler.

However, the then UFC champion won the award. Rousey was interviewed during the award ceremony, where she talked about her dominant career and other stuff going on in her professional career.

During her interview, the Olympic medalist was awarded the ‘Fighter of the Year’ award by the presenters. While sharing her thoughts on the same, Rousey took a sneaky dig at Mayweather.

“Wow, I can’t help but really say that. I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once. Like to see him, pretending not to know who I am now,” Rousey said.

The boxing great ‘TBE’ has an undefeated professional record of 50-0 under his name. However, outside of the ring, he lost to the former UFC champion, which was a big achievement for the female athlete.

Rousey was made a champion right after her debut and she had the most amazing runs in the UFC. However, the American Judoka didn’t have an undefeated stint in the promotion.

‘Rowdy’ racked stunning back-to-back wins and looked invincible in the bantamweight division of UFC. She had six successful title defenses under her name that came via an early finish.

Unfortunately, her strong reign came to an end in 2015. Rousey suffered her first-ever MMA setback against Holly Holm at UFC 193. In the next year, the ex-UFC star faced yet another devastating loss against Amanda Nunes in the very first round of the bout at UFC 207.

These were the only two losses Rousey faced in her MMA career. Following her second loss, she parted ways with the sport.
