Ronda Rousey was a star even before arriving in the UFC. She was the Strikeforce bantamweight champion. Thus, she was always ruling in the cage. But not only that, even outside she was getting a lot of attention, she was on the cover of ESPN The Magazine Body Issue in 2012. And during an event for her cover, she called out Kim Kardashian, which created a lot of noise.
Rousey on the red carpet of the 2012 ESPN event, when asked about a celebrity she would like to beat, said, “I would beat the c*ap out of Kim Kardashian, actually.”

‘Rowdy’ didn’t appreciate the reason she believed Kardashian gets such massive attention from people. She wondered why the famed American personality has such a fanbase and added, “Oh, yeah, she is selling sketchers to some 13-year-old. I don’t want some girl whose entire fame is based on a s*x video to be selling sketchers to my 13-year-old little sister.”

“That’s why I’m doing things like this. Because people like Kim Kardashian are being pushed in my sister’s face and you know it’s just not healthy. She didn’t need to have role models like this. And that’s why I’m doing stuff like ESPN Body because someone needs to do it,” concluded Rousey.
