One of the biggest UFC PPVs of the year is just a few days away, and it is going to feature many attractive bouts. Outside of the two massive title fights, fans will get to see rising superstar Khamzat Chimaev go head to head against a top 5 welterweight contender in Gilbert Burns.
Burns is being seen as Chimaev’s toughest challenge yet. The excitement for this fight has amplified even more by the presence of welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, aiding his former training partner for the clash.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, the Swedish mixed martial artist was quizzed about this and what he takes away from it. The 27-year-old stated that he feels that the upcoming fight is the best chance to inflict fear in both men’s eyes at the same time.
Khamzat Chimaev is confident that Kamaru Usman doesn’t want to face him
He also mentioned that Kamaru Usman might be afraid of his rapid rise in the ranking and believes he simply wants to avoid facing him by stopping him in his tracks at UFC 273.

“I feel sorry for both those guys. I’m gonna smash the guy and punch his face and his best friend will be standing there in the corner and make him scared as well, ya know,” He continued,” Of course ’cause he’s afraid. They push him down under me, you know, because he’s scared, that’s why. That’s why he wants to stop me before I come for him.”

In a hilarious admission, ‘The Wolf” also stated that he doesn’t really care about statistics and is looking forward to getting punched in the face. Thus far, the UFC upstart has only been hit a few times, and he is currently among the fighters who have been struck the least.
However, Chimaev doesn’t care about this stat and hopes for someone, even Gilbert Burns, to simply punch him in the face, “I don’t care about that s**t. I’d like for somebody to punch my face.”
