Famously known as ‘GSP,’ Georges St-Pierre has been an inspiration to many people around the globe. Former undefeated UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov named GSP as his favorite fighter, too. However, Rousey’s statement was critical of the former 170-pound UFC champion.

In an interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal, Rousey said, “I respect Georges St. Pierre as a businessman and an athlete. “I don’t have anything against him personally. But he’s not the kind of fighter I like watching.

The former queen of the 135-pound UFC women’s division felt that St-Pierre played it safe in his fights. She further added, “He fights to win matches. He doesn’t fight to defeat his opponents.”

Rousey further said, “Dude, if GSP was butt ugly, you wouldn’t want to know who he is so much. I think he lucked out a lot that he’s Canadian. I love CanadiansBut if GSP wasn’t really good-looking, and really Canadian, he would be really unknown.

While Ronda Rousey shared her views on Georges St-Pierre, she once defended Khabib Nurmagomedov, who looks at ‘GSP’ as an inspiration.

Ronda Rousey defends Khabib Nurmagomedov

UFC 229 had a lot of controversy around it. While McGregor was criticized for throwing a dolly at the bus before the fight was booked, Nurmagomedov received the same when he jumped over the cage after his victory. ‘The Eagle’ faced a lot of criticism for his actions, as people believed they could have turned disastrous.

However, Rousey, who enjoys an excellent relationship with McGregor, came to the defense of Nurmagomedov. She said, “I think that Khabib jumping out of the Octagon was not as bad as throwing objects at a bus, because my friend Rose Namajunas was on that bus. My friend, Michael Chiesa, missed his fight because he got cut.”

Rousey’s statements are often criticized and liked by many. Fans appreciate Rousey for keeping things real. Even in this instance, Rousey spoke her mind without caring about the equation she shares with McGregor.
