Have you ever witnessed a UFC fight a decade in the making? Well, you are in for a surprise as Jim Miller and Bobby Green’s battle has finally materialized at the helm of UFC 300. The grand night started with some great fights, however, ‘A-10’ and the ‘King’ were in a mood to establish their legacy to the name and game. As their match progressed both the fighters showcased some heavy resilience but only one of them got his hands raised.

Miller started his strikes early in the rounds but Green was not in a mood to let ‘A-10’ have his way in the match. After the first round, Green took absolute control of the match in the second round throwing some heavy hands at the Whippany, New Jersey native. Interestingly, Bobby Green earned a +129 significant strike differential vs. Jim Miller tonight (186 vs. 57), the 2nd largest in UFC lightweight history. Green’s barrage of punches threw Miller into a spiral as his endeavor for the $300,000 bonus ended in the final round. Nonetheless, despite losing, the legacy of the legend seems to be intact, as former champions and contenders applauded Miller’s resilience.

Interestingly, Miller is one of the four fighters in the promotion’s history to have 7 hours of Octagon time. ‘A-10’ is a veteran who has been with the promotion since its inception. He was there at the UFC 100, UFC 200, and now in UFC 300 as well. There was a time when Miller thought that it would be better to retire after UFC 200 but seems like it was a good decision by the Whippany, New Jersey native to stick around.

Despite losing his fight in the UFC 300 against Bobby Green, Miller got some high words from Conor McGregor. The former dual weight champion took to his X handle to appreciate the journey of the legend. “Bravo, Jim Miller! 100,200,300! Incredible feat! As real as it gets!

There was a time when Dustin Poirier and Jim Miller clashed. During their fight, Poirier observed that ‘A-10’ had some brutal kicking power, which is how ‘Diamond’ started incorporating those kicks into his matches. Seven years later, Poirier has come forward to appreciate the journey of the legend. “Respect Jim Miller.. you Legend,” writes Poirier

Furthermore, a fan added insult to injury by insinuating that Miller might need a facial reconstruction after Green messed up with his nose.

The third round was really brutal for Miller as Green was throwing barrages of punches which opened up some wounds near ‘A-10’ mouth.
