Without wasting a single moment, the fighter declared that he was aiming to become the middleweight champion. If the fight with the Swedish fighter would lead him to a title shot, he was ready for the fight. However, he refused the prospective fight if the UFC could not meet the condition.

He said, “So, I mean I know he’s popular. Everybody wants to see him do his thing and stuff like that. If they called me and say ‘hey Khamzat for a contender’s match’. That’s a yes. I’m trying to get to the title. I’m not just fighting to entertain you people. You know what I mean? I know you guys wanna see it. It’d be a good fight, you know what I mean? If that fight gets me a title shot, yes… I just beat number 3. I’m not looking back, I’m looking forward, i’m looking at champion.”

Nevertheless, the loser of the main event of the night had outlined his intentions of welcoming the Swede if that fight was offered to him.
