UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland took a savage jibe at Colby Covington in garb of the Oscars drama that unfolded between Will Smith and Chris Rock after an insensitive comment by the latter.

This resulted in Covington pressing charges on Masvidal, and the latter ended up going to jail. Covington received a lot of flak for his decision and it has come to haunt him some more after the Oscars drama unfolded.

“Lmao!!!!!!!!! If that was @ColbyCovMMA he would of been on the phone calling 911 while trying to give Trump a h*nd j*b. Well played @chrisrock. You took that shit like a man… You should catch him in the parking lot lol,” Strickland Tweeted after the incidence.

‘Tarzan’ Sean Strickland was the first one to call out Covington, as Chris Rock refuses to press charges on Will Smith for the stunt the latter pulled on live television.

Strickland and Covington have a habit of staying in headlines for their controversial opinions. Although Strickland, in his own words, can be psychotic sometimes, Covington is usually the one with the most polarizing thoughts.

Colby Covington has a controversial take on fighter pay

Fighter pay is a really sensitive issue at the UFC. The premiere promotion that has a complete monopoly over the MMA scene struggles with paying its fighters ‘fair’ pay and even gets into tussles with former and current champions for the same.

This issue has garnered attention from experts far and wide and remains in the headlines time and again. However, UFC fan-favorite Colby Covington thinks otherwise.

In the latest episode of the Full Send podcast, he opined that all of it is a farce, “I think it’s a joke. I think all the people that are complaining about fighter pay are the same fighters that can’t put their name out there. And put any hype behind any of their fights.”

“So they don’t deserve to be paid, you know. So you can get your piece of the pie. But you need to earn it, you know. Nothing’s given here. There are no handouts here in America. If you want something, you know you got to get it and earn it,” Covington continued.
