“I don’t think Nate’s going to fight. He’s only got one fight on his contract so of course he’s not going to accept me on the last fight of his contract. I’ll annihilate that guy.”

“I’ll leave for him literally dead, he’ll have nothing left in the tank. I know he wants to get out of his UFC contract so he can go make some money elsewhere. So, there’s no chance either of those guys will fight me.”

Nate Diaz shuts down Khamzat Chimaev

Speculations about Diaz facing Chimaev were bubbling to the surface until Nate Diaz shut down all the rumors. He spoke to TMZ Sports and said that he wasn’t interested in facing a ‘rookie’ as the last UFC fight on his existing contract.

“They’re coming at me with (Chimaev) and I’m like, ‘Hold on, don’t disrespect me like that, trying to offer me a fight with a rookie,’” Diaz said. “I’m cool. You got four fights in the UFC. Don’t even talk my name. … There’s levels to this and I don’t even want to hear his name.”

Diaz has looked at a bout against Chimaev as disrespectful considering the disparity in the number of fights both men have. However, Chimaev is currently one of the biggest names in the sport and is definitely someone worth watching out for. Fans will be on the edge of their seat trying to determine who Nate Diaz’s final opponent will be.
