Dustin Poirier on Tyron Woodley’s boxing ability

Dustin shared his opinion on the Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul fight, which took place earlier this year. He said,” I thought Tyron was going to do a lot better than that. You know he’s been in the gym for the last 15 years fighting, training mixed martial arts.”

“He’s a former world champion. He’s a big pincher, but he’s not a boxer.” According to the Louisiana native, “The art of boxing is different”.

Recently, many celebrities like Jake and Logan Paul have tried their luck at boxing. Patrick Bet-David questioned Poirier if any of these people had a chance against him as a boxer. To this, Dustin replied confidently, “Yeah. I’ll punish them.” Knowing his striking ability and outstanding ability, it’s not hard to believe Poirier when he says this.

Poirier said that he wasn’t trying to act arrogant. He thinks this way because he’s been fighting his entire life. Dustin Poirier avoided all trash talk and showed his true, confident self as he justified his statements.

The ‘Diamond’ recently revealed that he’s going to compete for the lightweight championship against Charles Oliveira (31-8) at the upcoming UFC 269 on December 11. The fight has been in the works since Poirier’s recent consecutive victories over Conor McGregor.

He announced the fight on his official Twitter account this past Sunday, and he also mentioned it in his interview with Patrick Bet-David.
