Apart from being such an accomplished MMA fighter, Harrison is also an Olympic Judo gold medalist. As of November 2021, Kayla Harrison’s professional fight record stands at 12 wins and no losses. The fighter has also won the 2019 and 2021 PFL woman’s lightweight tournaments.

Harrison is on the verge of free agency. As her contract with the PFL is coming to an end, many speculate that she will continue her legacy in another promotion. The PFL superstar recently appeared in an interview with MMA Fighting on SBN and discussed her thoughts on fighting the Bellator champion, Cris Cyborg.

“I think she feels she has nothing left to prove and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not dissing her for thinking that or feeling that way. She’s been around the sport for a very long time. She’s done a lot of great things,” said Harrison on Cris Cyborg.

“I do want to fight her and I think I do need to fight her and I’m the young, hungry, up-and-coming killer. She’s a trailblazer, she is absolutely. But the only problem is I’m on that trail now and I’m on her heels and I’m coming for her. So she doesn’t, maybe she doesn’t need to fight me, maybe she doesn’t want to fight me,” she added.

What’s next for Kayla Harrison?

After winning a second PFL tournament, Harrison will officially move into free agency. The fighter holds an excellent record and will be looking forward to making a mark for herself in the bigger leagues. However, she will have to cut down to 145 pounds if she wants to make a move to the UFC or to Bellator.
