Former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently enjoying retirement. Recently, in an interview, Nurmagomedov explained how he spends his time raising his kids. ‘The Eagle’ happens to be one of the most responsible human beings out there.
“It was my daughter’s birthday recently, by the way,” said Nurmagomedov. “She’s 6 years old now. I manage to spend more and more time with them now. I always try to take them with me as much as possible. No matter where I travel to, Moscow or somewhere else,” added the undefeated Dagestani fighter.

“I try to spend all my free time with them. You have to raise your kids and teach them It is difficult especially nowadays. Even though we think our kids are naturally following our footsteps, but time flies, they become older, form their own opinion on everything. And it’s hard to teach them anything. So, now is the time to raise them and teach them. I’m doing my best to raise them as decent people,” Nurmagomedov said further.

The Russian is currently retired and spends most of his time with his family. Also, he always looks to help out his fellow fighters at the famous American Kickboxing Academy Gym.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired because of his family
Nurmagomedov always has his priorities straight. It’s family before everything for the former lightweight champion. The main reason behind his retiring from the sport was his father’s passing away.

‘The Eagle’ announced retirement after successfully defending his belt against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. It was saddening for the fans to see the Russian walk away from the sport like that. Many believed he still had a lot to offer with the prime years of him as a fighter ahead of him. However, they will have to live with the fact that they won’t get to see him compete again.
