UFC 270 had some amazing fights. One of those bouts was the main event between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. ‘The Predator’, who was looking to defend his title against the interim champion, did it in the most unexpected fashion. He was able to take down his opponent multiple times and maintain his dominance.

All eyes were on this clash, and one fighter was particularly interested. That fighter was Jon Jones, who was pretty active on Twitter. He revealed his views about the fighters and the heavyweight division to the world.

In his first shot, he seemed to not be concerned about the level of the two fighters. He said, “If this is the Apex of heavyweight fighting, I’m excited about it. Got some more records to break.”

“I love how everyone gets so impressed with the new guy lol,” Jones said.

“Lol stay humble? Sure I’ll stay humble, sleeping like a baby tonight. People talk so much s**t, have no clue what it takes.”

He made the final prediction in a now-deleted tweet. He wrote, “At the end of the day, I’m f**king them both up.”

Jones is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. ‘Bones‘ relinquished his light heavyweight title after beating Dominick Reyes at UFC 247. Subsequently, he also announced that he would be moving up to the heavyweight division. Although his tweets indicate that he will return, one cannot assume anything until the UFC officially announces it.

Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 showed a new side of ‘The Predator’

The heavyweight clash between the two titans was a battle between power and precision. Ngannou is someone who can knock anybody out with one punch, and Gane is a tactical fighter.

However, the fight didn’t go according to anyone’s expectations. Both men didn’t go hard and maintained a good speed at the start. Everyone expected Ngannou to try to look for the knockout, but he did something completely unexpected. ‘The Predator‘ seemed to have worked on his grappling and took the French fighter down multiple times.

He showed good awareness on the mat as well and was able to control Gane. Hence, future opponents will have a new side of ‘The Predator’ that they need to be concerned about. As it is not something anyone has seen Ngannou do before, it only makes him even more dangerous.
