After a painful injury at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor is waiting to make a huge comeback. In a new interview with ‘Severe MMA’, McGregor gave an update on his injury. According to the fighter, he is much better and feels ready to get back into the cage soon.

Speaking about his return, the fighter said, “Once I get the leg cleared and I get that feeling of myself when I kick a body, when I, when I just step back in and out and I get that feel of it, then I’ll be able to gauge time. And then, I’m going to isolate myself, I’m going to stay from the pub, I’m going to stay away from my delicious forged Irish stout, from my tasty, smooth Proper Irish whiskey.”

“… I’m going to dedicate myself to my craft 100 percent and give it a month or two of that and see how everything goes and then make the move.”

Several people are skeptical about whether McGregor will be able to fight like he used to. Just days after the injury, his arch-nemesis, Khabib Nurmagomedov, spoke to ESPN about the incident. According to the Russian, McGregor might not be able to kick again properly after suffering a broken leg.
