Marvin Vettori has established himself as one of the top middleweight contenders in the UFC right now. The fact that his UFC ranking has risen to second only adds to this argument. ‘The Italian Dream’ recently squared off against Brazilian fighter Paulo Costa. This fight was set to be a middleweight fight, but owing to Costa’s weight miss, it was changed to a light heavyweight contest. Despite the fact that Vettori has never fought in this weight class before, he completely dominated Paulo Costa.

“My last fight, I learned a lot about him. More than the first time. And it’s just a matter of time. I have a deeper confidence in myself, and the more I go, the more I build this deeper confidence,” he added.

Vettori also shared his thoughts on the fight he had against “Borrachinha” in the post-fight interview.

There was a little of weirdness on him. But like you know, sometimes, a lot of times I’m trying to see where my opponent is at. but this time I felt like I had something in my mind. Where like, he would give out a lot of signs of weakness, but it felt fake to me. I’m like I cannot rely on that because he’ll have something. Like I could sense a lot of weakness from him. He was a little bit weird from his side, the way he was acting. He wasn’t the same Paulo costa of many other fight. But I could feel I could not rely on that in a sense,” Claimed the Italian dream.
