UFC 303 didn’t fail to impress the fight fans, despite the fallout of multiple fights on the main card. Though viewers were pretty impressed with the Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka bout, they were still hooked on the initially scheduled fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. While the world of mixed martial arts was excited to witness McGregor return to the Octagon after a three-year-long hiatus, it was met with nothing but disappointment as ‘The Notorious’ was forced to pull out of the bout weeks before the schedule owing to his broken toe. However, the fighting community was still out wondering about the updates on the injury.

Needless to say, Dana White was quite upset with how things proceeded with the ‘Mystic Mac’. Following the conclusion of UFC 303, White was asked to give some updates on McGregor’s injury in the post-fight press conference. But the UFC head honcho was not ready to talk about it.

Dana White denies to talk about Conor McGregor

At the UFC 303 post-fight press conference, one of the first questions that was thrown at the UFC CEO was about the Irish mixed martial artist’s health updates. A reporter asked, “Do you have any time update on Conor like how that toe is healing?” However, White seemed clueless about the status of McGregor’s injury.

He also stated that wouldn’t talk about the former UFC double champion until he was ready to step into the Octagon and fight once again. The UFC head honcho said during the post-fight press conference, “No. I’m not even talking about Conor until Conor is done, ready to fight and all that stuff.”

McGregor is a fighter who greatly relies on his skills as a striker. With that comes a major dependency on one’s kicks and fists. Had the Irish fighter decided to fight with the broken toe, he was sure to face some hurdles during the fight. Without a doubt, many in the MMA world deemed his withdrawal from the fight a wise decision.

Michael Chandler knows when ‘The Notorious’ will return

While the UFC head honcho seemed clueless regarding the Dubliner’s return, the same wasn’t true for Michael Chandler. The fighter stood true to his words and blessed the arena with his presence at UFC 303. But when he was asked if he had any idea about McGregor’s return, he wasn’t at a loss for words.

‘Iron’ revealed that ‘The Notorious’ will step back into the Octagon in September or August. “It’s always related to Conor. Sources close to Conor like yourself I surely know he’s gonna be ready in September, or August. I’m sure we can make something happen,” said the former Bellator lightweight champion.
