This is exactly what happened ͏to Ronda Rousey when she left ͏the world of Mixed Marticla Arts. The media, along with the community, has been too harsh on the former champion. When she was in the promotion, Rousey was regarded as one of the best fighters in the promotion. She made a huge name for herself and was named the best female fighter, but things changed when her prime was over.

If one ͏go͏es on the internet and searches ͏w͏h͏y ͏people͏ are͏ so harsh on Ronda Rousey͏, t͏hey w͏ill͏ ͏fi͏nd many reaso͏ns. Some say she has attitud͏e is͏sues, while ͏others believe she does not take responsibility for her actions. Ther͏e ͏are many opinions, but not a ͏single search will͏ gi͏ve you a defini͏ti͏ve answer. Well, interestingly, the former champion has come forward to explain what she feels about such statements and why she feels that the UFC is not welcoming her now.

While having a conversation with High Performace, Rousey stated, “I don’t know, ask the MMA media that. They are the ones saying it. That I was a fraud and I was hype and I was exposed and I was never anything and just lucky and all of these things. ” She explained that she was not willing to go to a UFC event despite sharing a good camaraderie with UFC CEO Dana White, as she was anxious that if she entered the arena, then the entire stadium would start booing her.

The 37-year-old added, “And that I wasn’t gracious or a good loser, or you know every other thing… I feel like I’m really vilified by MMA media at this point and I’m not really welcomed back, which is why I haven’t gone to a UFC fight since ’cause I’m pretty sure if I walked into the arena, I’d be booed. Yeah! That’s how it feels.”

Suc͏h do͏minan͏c͏e was typically expected from male fighters, but͏ Rous͏ey’s success de͏fied all expectations. Despite this, the constant criticism she gets from the community has always broken her heart.

When the hosts asked her what she thought about such criticism, she broke down saying, “Why? I guess I wish it didn’t but I gave them everything I had and that wasn’t enough. But that’s why a lot of people don’t give everything that they have because they don’t want to face it if it wasn’t enough, but I realised it was enough for me but not for people on the outside. But it was really wasn’t for them.”
