The Kung-fu panda voice actor alongside musical Kyle Gass was there side by side with Stephen Thompson to have a spectacular entrance.

“Wonderboy” has been a huge fan of Black and Gass for a long time now. It may come as a surprise to everyone that Thompson’s nickname “Wonderboy” is a reference to the Goosebumps star’s song with his band, also titled Wonderboy. This just shows how much Black and Gass mean to the fighter and what could be greater for the fighter than witnessing his childhood superstars supporting him.

At UFC Orlando on December 3, 2022, Thompson asserted that he would be accompanied into the ring ͏by the iconic actor and si͏nger, Black, as he faced Kevin Holland in the main event of the evening. Thompson was excited to finally have his childhood hero alongside him as he was going to fight. Thompson even confirmed Black’s appearance. “Speaking of ‘Wonderboy,’ I got Jack Black gonna walk me out. He may like lipsync it or something, but I don’t think he’s gonna sing it, no. He’s gonna walk me out,” said Thompson on Chris Weidman’s Won’t Back Down podcast.

However, his dream of walking out with Thompson was shattered. Thompson had to announce that his intended UFC Orlando entrance alongside Jack Black has unfortunately been called off due to a scheduling clash on the Tenacious D frontman’s side.

Nonetheless, Thompson now had his dream come true. What are you expecting from Stephen Thompson? Tell us about your opinion in the comments below.
