Conor McGregor somehow escaped a clean sweep on TUF 31. His teammate Rico DiSciullo defeated Team Chandler’s Hunter Azure with a remarkable KO win to advance to the next round. In light of his team managing to win only one fight, Austin Hubbard and Kurt Holobaugh declined to join McGregor for the rest of the show.

TUF contestants brutally reject Conor McGregor!

Even though Dana White really wanted to switch a few fighters to Team McGregor, he let them choose whether they wanted to join the former double champion. Consequently, Austin Hubbard and Kurt Holobaugh expressed their displeasure in joining the Irishman’s team. In the recent episode, Hubbard said, I for sure don’t wanna go over to Team McGregor to switch it up. It didn’t make sense to me.”

Meanwhile, Kurt Holobaugh mentioned how their team dominated Conor McGregor’s team from the get-go. He prefers to stay on the same team. He said, “We outclassed them. We beat them 7-1. I am staying team red, team Chandler.” Holobaugh also spoke about his coaches and how their training methods proved beneficial to him as he entered the semi-finals. He added, “I am definitely not switching teams. I love our coaches [and] I love the way we train.”

It was calming for ‘The Notorious’ to know that he’ll have one more fighter under his wing besides Rico DiSciullo. However, Michael Chandler has an advantage with five fighters on his team. One of them is already in the finals. It increases the possibility of his team winning the competition. We will have to wait and see how things pan out in the days to come.
