UFC 276 was a treat for MMA fans. With several great fights lined up, fans were excited to see the outcome. However, Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler drew a lot of attention at the event because of their heated altercation.

Both the fighters were present at UFC 276 and had to be separated by the security after they clashed. But that wasn’t the end of their feud.

Chandler took to Twitter to take a subtle dig at Poirier. He wrote, “Simple truth in life – you aren’t yourself when you’re that thirsty. Keep your cool, be a professional, especially in public. Your insecurities are showing.”

Incidentally, former welterweight champion, Gilbert Burns filmed their heated exchange and shared it on Twitter.

Both the lightweights have gone back and forth in the past too. The Diamond and Michael Chandler have both taken digs at each other on Ariel Helwani’s show. Thus, it seems like their bitterness originated from there.

While Chandler felt Poirier disregarded his accomplishments in the UFC, Poirier said that he was unimpressed by Chandler’s victories.

Furthermore, Poirier and Chandler have both fought Charles Oliveira in their attempts to become the new lightweight champion. While they were not successful, as the second and fifth-ranked fighters in the division, a bout between them would be exciting.
