Aliens, ghosts, ancient civilizations, politics, and martial arts, the Joe Rogan Experience has been captivating its audience with compelling ideas ever since the show rose to prominence. Fans get especially hooked when the conversation shifts toward life beyond our planet. Joe Rogan has long been a firm believer in the existence of aliens, and sometimes, his discussions with guests take some seriously intriguing turns on the topic.
This time as well, when Dr. Zahi Hawass joined the UFC color commentator on The Joe Rogan Experience episode #2321, the conversation dove into archaeology and the mysteries of ancient Egyptian civilization. Dr. Hawass, the former Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, is now actively pursuing his ambition as an archaeologist, Egyptologist, and lecturer. He appeared on the world’s biggest podcast as part of his Grand Lecture Tour across North America, where he’ll be showcasing some of his most fascinating Egyptian discoveries.
During the episode, Rogan and Dr. Hawass dove into those classic JRE topics, ancient civilizations, their potential for advanced construction, and, of course, the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe. A typical Joe Rogan Experience, you could say! Things got especially interesting when the two disagreed. Rogan, the king of podcasting, stood firm on his belief in aliens, while Dr. Hawass wasn’t on board with that idea.

The Egyptologist also brought up an interesting name during the episode, Graham Hancock. He is a British author and a journalist known for writing several books on ancient civilizations and lost lands. Hancock has been featured on The Joe Rogan Experience twice (episodes #2215 and #1897), where he shared his unconventional ideas.

Aliens or ancient tech—what truly built the pyramids? Whose side are you on, Rogan or Hawass?
Have an interesting take?
Fans want Graham Hancock on the Joe Rogan Experience once again
One user wrote, “I’ll stick with Graham on all this,” clearly showing support for Graham Hancock and his ideas. Another chimed in with a more playful take: “Bring in Graham Hancock, Billy Carson, and this guy… that’ll be fun.” While Hancock’s name is already familiar to the JRE fans. However, for the unversed, Billy Carson is the founder and CEO of the media company 4BiddenKnowledge, which is known for providing knowledge about ancient civilizations, aliens, and esoteric subjects. He’s also appeared on the JRE #2160 episode.
Another user had already pictured the wild scenario of Dr. Hawass, Graham Hancock, and Billy Carson all sitting in the JRE studio, diving into aliens and ancient civilizations. They joked, “Just as a joke lol. Imagine Zahi Hawass with his denial and science, Graham Hancock with his strong evidence, and Billy attributing everything to aliens every 5 minutes.” This panel would definitely turn some heads.

“As Graham himself stated, there’s NO evidence for an advanced civilization.” That’s one of the more common criticisms Graham Hancock faces from skeptics. Another user hinted that the fan-favorite guest might be done with public debates, writing, “Doubt Graham fancies any more debates.” And while many fans backed Hancock, there were also voices siding with Dr. Hawass. One comment read, “No, he’s just not open to wild theories without evidence that’s been critically examined. The Graham Hancocks of the world are great and fun, but you also need adults in the room.”
Obviously, this is one of those topics where people have all kinds of different opinions. But one thing’s for sure: hearing two or three completely different perspectives collide always makes for an entertaining conversation. That being said, how do you think a discussion between Joe Rogan, Graham Hancock, and Dr. Zahi Hawass would go down? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
