Amanda Nunes is one of the most prominent names in MMA. Regarded as one of the greatest UFC fighters by many, she is a two-division champion and the first fighter to defend both belts simultaneously. ‘The Lioness’ who reigns as the bantamweight and featherweight champion, has been undefeated since 2014 and has come a long way in the promotion. For a large part of her phenomenal run, she has had her better half by her side.

Who is Amanda Nunes’ wife? The 33-year-old fighter is married to Nina Ansaroff, now Nina Nunes. The couple shares an amazing bond and actively posts about their personal life on social media. Together, they have a lovely daughter Raegan Ann Nunes.

Interestingly, Nina Nunes, akin to ‘The Lioness’, is a professional mixed martial artist and fighter. Both the female fighters are training partners at the American Top Team gym in Florida. Nina has competed in a few MMA promotions, including PFL and Invicta, before making her UFC debut in 2014.

Currently, Nina is signed with the UFC and competes in the strawweight division. She has a professional fighting record of 10-7 under her name. Here’s a brief look at the double champ’s wife’s run in the UFC.

Nina Nunes- Run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship

Before UFC, Nina Nunes had competed in nine MMA bouts. She made her UFC debut with a record of 6-3 and was on a five-fight undefeated streak. Unfortunately, Nina faced a setback in her debut fight and also in her second UFC bout.

‘The Strina’ then bounced back with a submission win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger in the third round.

Nina gradually improved her performances and secured four wins on the trot. Unfortunately, she suffered a unanimous decision loss against Tatiana Suarez at UFC 238.

After her loss, Nina took a hiatus from fighting and gave birth to their daughter Raegan Ann Nunes. Later, she made her much-awaited return after two years, only to lose against Mackenzie Dern via submission in 2021.
