Omnisport, Yaoundé: On Easter Sunday, 17-year-old Ntsama Brigitte Manuella, was traveling back home after an outing with friends. However, in the heavy traffic streets of the Cameroonian capital, she met with an accident. While there is no clear information about the accident out yet, there are some reports linking former UFC champion Francis Ngannou to the same. So far, there are a couple of theories making rounds.
Some reports suggest that Francis was riding a motorbike that eventually clashed with the vehicle that Ntsama was traveling on. Others suggest that Ntsama’s motorbike hit Ngannou’s. Some also report that Francis was not driving the motorbike but was a passenger on it. Although he hasn’t made any statement yet, sources closely following the story report that instead of running away from the scene, Francis took the girl to the Yaoundé General Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility. He also took the financial responsibility for any medical requirement that Ntsama would require. But just then, tragedy struck.
A medical source close to the case, per 237online stated, “The victim’s limbs had severe trauma requiring immediate surgery.” While the doctors were operating on her for the same, Ntsama passed away while under the needle. Reports only came out after Ntsama’s demise despite it being over a week since the incident took place.

While the reports are still fresh, there are quite a few conflicting accounts as to what led to the accident. The investigation is underway, and more details may come to light in the following days. However, local sources mention how the accident points to the lack of road safety in the neighborhoods, especially the densely populated areas like Omnisport and the availability of medical care, especially in case of emergencies like this.
