Recent rumors suggest that Bellator MMA might lose a few fighters to the UFC, given the UFC is interested in signing them. One of the top names doing the rounds is Bellator MMA Welterweight fighter, Michael Page. According to sources, Page’s contract with Bellator has expired, and the UFC might just capitalize on this and scoop him up.

Page, already a big name in the MMA world, would be a great value addition to the already star-studded UFC roster. UFC Legends like Ronda Rousey and Georges St-Pierre are also rumored to return to the Octagon.

This also seems to be a good time for the UFC as a business. UFC 290 was a huge success for the promotion. The PPV sale numbers skyrocketed, and the fight cards ensured a memorable fight night for the fans. Thanks to the promotion’s success over the last few years, many other fighters from different promotions have expressed interest in becoming a part of the UFC roster. All in all, it seems to be a great time to move to the UFC for Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page announces MMA free agency after 10-year Bellator run

Michael Page has had a glorious run in Bellator MMA for 10 years. He came up as one of the best fighters in the Welterweight division but now, his run has come to an end. Or has it?

UFC is expanding and now that it’s getting good traction, UFC President Dana White might be open to signing on other fighters. Former UFC fighters like Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou have big fight cards ahead of them, which has also brought a lot of attention to the UFC. So now, if the UFC scoops up renowned fighters like Michael ‘Venom’ Page, their PPV sales might go through the roof.

In a recent interview, Page shared the news with the world. He said that his contract with Bellator MMA was over and that he was a free agent in the MMA world, looking to explore options and opportunities. Now, initially, there was no evidence to back this. It was just a potential deal that was on the table for both parties.

However, Twitter’s Bloody Elbow dropped some major updates that have shaken the entire MMA community. The page shared some intriguing screenshots from the official UFC website page where the names of highly acclaimed Bellator MMA fighters were seen. Some of the names on the page were Patricky Freire, Michael Page, AJ McKee, and Patricio Freire.

According to Page, Bellator MMA has a matching clause, and they might want to retain the fighter. However, if Page is interested in exploring other options, then Bellator MMA would be understanding of his choice. All things considered, it seems like Michael Page’s move to the UFC might be probable, if not guaranteed.

Michael Page’s MMA record

Known for his unorthodox fighting style that is unique to ‘Venom’, Michael Page has reasons to be hailed as one of the best Welterweight fighters in Bellator MMA if not in martial arts.

The fighter has an impeccable 21-2-0 record. He is now looking to grow and extend his win streak, but not in Bellator MMA if he can help it. The fighter has said that he wants to go out and try other opportunities for himself, not because of any grievance against Bellator MMA, but to assess his own value.

‘Venom’ has mentioned that he is interested in seeing the UFC Fight Night 224 and shall attend in London.
