If we talk about the most impressive striker in the women’s flyweight division right now, Natalia Silva tops the list. This Brazilian beast from Minas Gerais has seriously been making waves with her crazy MMA skills. She’s one of those rare fighters who has built her way up with pure grit and technique. And now? She’s right on the edge of a title shot as she prepares to throw down with former champ Alexa Grasso at UFC 315 in Canada this weekend.

Ranked #5 in the flyweight rankings, Silva is a straight-up technician in the octagon. She’s racked up six wins in a row in the UFC and looked amazing in those fights. But it’s not just what she does in the cage that made people curious about her; her charismatic personality also made the fans more intrigued about her, to know about her life outside the cage. Mainly, is she married? Got a boyfriend? Any kids?

Natalia Silva’s 2025 relationship status and kids

Silva shares pictures of living her life on social media, but she plays it pretty close to the chest when it comes to her love life. As of 2025, there’s no real information out there saying that she’s married or has a partner. Also, it doesn’t look like she’s got any kids either. It might be that the Brazilian is focused on her career and keeping her private life under wraps.

But even if she doesn’t open up a ton about her personal stuff, her story is still super interesting. Her background and the grind that got her to the UFC all add up to the fighter she is today. Let’s rewind a bit and talk about how Silva got her start.

Natalia Silva’s background and early life

She was born on Feb 3, 1997, in a small town in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where only 5,000 people live. At first, MMA wasn’t even something she was thinking about. But when she was 16, she started doing Taekwondo, and that pretty much lit the spark to become a proper competitive fighter. By the time she hit 18, she was already jumping into full-on MMA.

However, her ride wasn’t smooth from the day she started doing martial arts. She had a tough start, losing back-to-back fights in 2015 to Elaine Leal and Kenya Miranda, both by submission. But instead of tapping out on her dreams, those losses showed her what she needed to improve. In 2017, she joined Team Borracha and started leveling up her game, introducing other disciplines like Jiu-Jitsu in her training.

Soon, the changes in training started to pay off as Silva started showing amazing results in her Jungle Fighting and Fight Club MMA career. In 2019, the Brazilian submitted her opponent, Gabriella Marca, to become the Jungle Fight women’s flyweight champion. In 2020, Silva was signed to the UFC, and in 2022, had her first match against Canadian fighter Jasmine Jasudavicious at the UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Emmett event.

Since joining the UFC, Natalia Silva has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, as she is yet to face any adversity. She faced some of the most brutal fights in the division and has wins over Andre Lee, Viviane Araujo, and the former champion Jessica Andrade. With this fantastic set of wins, the Brazilian is knocking on the door to be the next in line to fight for the flyweight championship.

At UFC 315 main card, Silva will face the former flyweight champion, Alexa Grasso, who went toe-to-toe with the current 125 lbs queen, Valentina Shevchenko, in a trilogy. So, with that being said, do you think the Brazilian will continue her victorious run this weekend or face the first adversity? Please let us know by commenting below!
