Conor McGregor is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the MMA world. ‘Mystic Mac’ boasts unmatched fame even outside the MMA fans community. His lethal striking and ruthless trash-talking have earned him enormous popularity; which is pretty hard to match. However, the recent times aren’t proving out to be eventful for McGregor as his long-time friend and former training partner, Artem Lobov chose to visit the Irish court to file a lawsuit against him.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s former manager, Ali Abdelaziz, took the opportunity of this clash between friends. He posted a tweet mocking McGregor and re-ignited the bitter rivalry of UFC 229; which even got McGregor’s and Nurmagomedov’s entire teams into the brawl.

Ali Abdelaziz said that karma was following Conor McGregor

Abdelaziz derided McGregor, taking the opportunity of this soured relationship between the two old friends. He wrote, “Is your ex boyfriend taking you to court? because you stole his idea he was the reason you got smashed this is called karma you guys all belong together”.

The three ‘laughing-out’ emojis to end his tweet were a clear indication of his deriding intent.

Lobov had responded to Nurmagomedov by calling out McGregor, saying ‘The Eagle’ is no match for ‘Mystic Mac’. Reportedly, he had also called Nurmagomedov a “pu**y”.

‘The Eagle’ then slapped Lobov after coming face to face with him at a juncture. This set off the entire background of the UFC 229 main event, whose outcome is known to probably every MMA fan in this world.

Why did Artem Lobov file a lawsuit against McGregor?

Conor McGregor’s business venture, the ‘Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey’ is as famous as his name. But, the lesser-known fact is that Lobov had also played a pivotal part in launching McGregor’s liquor brand.

Recently, McGregor sold off the majority of his stakes in Proper Twelve to ‘Proximo Spirits’ for a whopping $600M. But Lobov, who claimed himself to be a c0-founder of the company, was deprived of his just share.

On 22 November, Lobov filed a lawsuit against McGregor claiming 5% out of the total revenue that McGregor received on selling the majority of his stakes in Proper Twelve.

However, we will have to wait and watch the consequences that McGregor might have to face due to Lobov’s lawsuit against him.
