Along with Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, the return of the double champion, Henry Cejudo, is also confirmed. ‘Triple C’ might return to the octagon in March. On several occasions, the flyweight and bantamweight champion has made it clear that he can’t wait to get back to the octagon. However, the promotion has not yet confirmed an opponent for ‘The Messenger.’ Cejudo recently posted a video on his Twitter handle to talk about his comeback.

‘Triple C’ stated that he would probably fight against #1-ranked bantamweight Sean O’Malley or Aljamain Sterling in his comeback bout. Cejudo also uploaded a YouTube video where he talked about his plan for the UFC. ‘The Messenger’ made it clear that he is desperately looking forward to fighting with the current UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski. Additionally, the 36-year-old stated that Islam Makhachev is definitely not the better fighter.

Henry Cejudo believes he makes a better opponent for Volkanovski than Makhachev

In the video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Cejudo explained his intentions behind the comeback. He said, “Alexander Volkanovski is a lot better than what I thought. It was defensively but am I getting that guy? Why are people dismissing me against Alexander Volkanovski?”

He continued, “okay he defended a couple of takedowns but guess what Islam not an Olympic champion, guess what Islam doesn’t have my striking, guess what he’s not faster than me, guess what yeah he is bigger than me but I’m a smaller target. This is the same reason people are super problematic with Alexander Volkanovski. It’s a simple fact that he’s short. He’s fun-sized.”
