The UFC has a roster filled with many great fighters who have accomplished remarkable feats. However, when it comes to the title of the greatest of all time, one name echoes around the Octagon and within the cage: Jon Jones. UFC CEO Dana White has consistently referred to Jones as the man who can fight anybody, anywhere, and looking at ‘Bones’ records, it’s easy to see the truth in that statement.

The current heavyweight champion and the former light heavyweight champion, Jones has been one of the forces that have never been defeated in his entire life. Many current and former greats consider Jones to be the ‘Goat’ and this also includes former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos who took a dig at Islam Makhachev while supporting the goat.

From being the youngest champion in the UFC to being the undefeated fighter. Jones’s records speak for themselves. ‘Bones’ has always been a terrifying force in the Octagon and his opponents have always feared to step inside the cage against him. Dana White in his most recent escapade has termed Jones as the man as the ‘Goat’

“He’s never been beat. He destroyed everybody at light heavyweight which at the time was the toughest weight class in the company, in the sport. Then he moved up to heavyweight. He won easily at heavyweight. There’s no debate. Nobody can debate who’s the greatest of all time. It’s absolutely, positively Jon Jones. He’s never lost. He’s never been beat in the octagon.” said White in a conversation with an interview with Lex Fridman.

White’s statement was shared on social media and former lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos seems to share the same opinion as the UFC CEO. Dos Anjos took to his Instagram handle to add a comment, “100%!! And I believe since he still fighting he should be the #1 PFP.” Responding to Dos Anjos’s comment, a fan reminded him about Jones’s constant use of steroids.

Dos Anjos responded to the comment by the fan by taking a dig at the current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev. He wrote, “The current #1 PFP was also flagged once with meldonium. The guy is a goat, has never loss in his career, competing at the highest level. Thank you for being a fan.”

Georges St-Pierre doubles down on Jones ‘Goat’ status

Jon Jones has the highest number of title defenses in UFC history and many believe that it won’t be broken by anyone. In his latest conversation with Pound 4 Pound, Georges St-Pierre states that finding a replacement for Jones would be very difficult for the promotion.

“If you ask me in terms of where we are now, I think it’s hard to find someone better than Jon Jones. Jon Jones is extremely but he’s also extremely tough, people have no idea how tough he is. I’ve trained with him, I’ve seen him going through the grind. He’s so freaking tough. I remember fights with Vitor Belfort, his arm got dislocated and he fought with a dislocated arm. Even in one of his fights his toe was broken. Most of the time when you have a guy that is very talented, it doesn’t come with toughness”
