Alexander Volkanovski is a proud Australian and deeply loves his nation. ‘The Great’ is an inspiration to all the young fighters in his country. Moreover, the UFC featherweight champion has also paved the way for young fighters from down under to take up MMA and perform at the highest level. Recently, Volkanovski was seen giving back the love he receives from his native land; he also performed the traditional dance along with some of the fighters.
The video came out days before UFC 284, where ‘The Great’ would be facing the most brutal fight of his career in the form of Islam Makhachev as he goes head-to-head with the lightweight champ and fans are excited. Furthermore, the event is being held in his native Australia where he will be having home support.

Fans react as Alexander Volkanovski performs the traditional Aboriginal dance
Alexander Volkanovski and Tai Tuivasa were present at the traditional Aboriginal dance festival in Perth. The fighters were also joined by Randy Brown, Shane Young, Jack Della Maddalena, and Parker Porter. The post was shared by MMA Fighting.com and captioned, “#UFC284 fighters joined in during a traditional aboriginal dance in Perth”.

All the fighters were seen performing the ritual dance in the open-ground ceremony, along with the Aboriginal people. The fighters seemed to have taken their Australian tradition in the ceremony. Moreover, the fans have shared their views on the fighters upholding their traditions.
One fan said, “you can sense the IQ gap in the comments here, seems like some people don’t know there’s cultures and traditions outside of Black Friday and the 4th of July”.
Another fan added, “Comment section is an L Celebrating the oldest living (69 thousand years plus) culture in the world is cool”.
However, one social media said, “Because that’s what Australia is all about”.
A fan was confused and said, “Wtf is going on here?”
One fan commented on the post, “Islam too cool for this?”
There were fans that noticed a funny incident during the ceremony. They noticed UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa falling on purpose during the ceremony. Seeing this incident, one fan wrote, “Tai should not be falling on people as a joke”
Similarly, another fan added, “Tai out there doing side missions lol”.

The Aboriginal Australians are the indigenous population belonging to the continent of Australia. They have developed in the mainland region of Australia for more than 50,000 years. The traditional people of the region continued these values.
