UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya was unsuccessful in registering himself as a simultaneous 2-division UFC champion at UFC 259.

‘Stylebender’ lost a decision against Jan Blachowicz. However, he earned plaudits from some sections of the MMA community for his bold move despite coming in at less than the light-heavyweight limit of 205lbs.

He is currently in quarantine, as per the rules of international travel. But ‘Stylebender’ seems severely annoyed with some specific rules of the quarantine hotels, especially the restriction upon using microwaves which are identified as fire-hazards.

Adesanya shared a video on Twitter recently, where he is seen using Iron machines and flasks as an alternative to microwaves.

Legit one of the dumbest rules of these quarantine hotels is “no microwaves allowed”. Why? Cuz it’s a “FiRe hAZaRd”. I could make a fire with 5 items in this room easy if I wanted to. But man Naija ingenuity prevails once again,” wrote Adesanya. He shared another video captioning it ‘I am undefeated in quarantine.

The clips were hilarious, to say the least. Also, the rule of not allowing boarders to use microwaves in quarantine hotels is as bizarre as it gets.

If microwaves are fire hazards, then so are Iron machines, flasks, and more. At least Adesanya is certainly proving them to be. So, hotels better start taking notes.

What’s next for Israel Adesanya?

Adesanya has abandoned his plans of moving up to higher weight classes for now, after his recent setback. He wants to focus on the middleweight division for now and is looking to defend his belt against the top contenders. The likes of Robert Whittaker, Darren Till, Kevin Holland, and even Paulo Costa are lurking on the sidelines laying in wait.

With Whittaker’s proposed bout against Costa falling out due to later’s withdrawal, the UFC could very well book the rematch between ‘The Reaper‘ and ‘Stylebender’ soon. Also, the champion himself has expressed his desire to fight ‘The Gorilla’. So, the options are plenty for Adesanya.
