Kevin Holland got his 5-fight win streak snapped in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Holand. ‘Trailblazer’ dropped a unanimous decision against middleweight veteran, Derek Brunson. And now, UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, has responded to Holland on Twitter.

In the pre-fight press conference of the UFC Fight Night event, Holland called ‘Stylebender’ a true loser for his recent UFC 259 loss to Jan Blachowicz. Those comments didn’t escape Adesanya’s attention, and now he has taken his turn to have a go at the up-and-coming middleweight contender.
The middleweight champion wrote, ““…he got taking down and beat up there.” – Crackhead Kevin.”

He also referred to Holland’s recent comments on Khamzat Chimaev and took a shot at ‘Trailblazer’ by giving him a taste of his own medicine.
“Read my lips…,” wrote Adesanya on Twitter following Holland’s recent comments. Nevertheless, Holland lost a big opportunity to solidify his status as a top middleweight contender in a stacked middleweight division.

It was his first UFC main event, and anything similar to his last 5 performances prior to this fight would have seen his stock rise higher than ever. However, ‘Trailblazer’, who had his talking game on full-flow, was controlled on his back for most of the fight. Still, he showed signs of his potential as he dropped Brunson during the second round of the contest.
A better game plan and perhaps more focus might have helped him actually have a better performance in the fight. For now, though, he will have to go back to the drawing board and assess what went wrong for him.

And they have been going back-and-forth at each other for a considerable period now. However, Holland is not quite on Adesanya’s level yet, in terms of success in the UFC and star power.
