Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori are set to clash in a rematch at UFC 263. The champion defeated ‘The Italian Dream’ by split decision in 2018.

The stakes are even higher this time with the 185lbs belt on the line. The build-up has been as entertaining as one can ask for, with both men going guns blazing at the other.

Recently in an interview, Izzy dropped another bomb on Vettori. When asked by Laura Sanko if Vettori has created the same sort of animosity as Paulo Costa, Adesanya labeled his next opponent as a ‘Fu*kboy’. Needless to say, these exchanges only make the fight more entertaining.

He can’t help himself, he can try. By tomorrow, you have till tomorrow to change who you are as a person. But unfortunately, he is a fu*kboy. So he won’t be able to do that,” said Adesanya.

This sort of verbal abuse is not something new from both sides. They haven’t spared each other any room for comfort at all so far. One can only hope that translates to the Octagon when the bell rings in the main event. And if their first fight is anything to go by, fans are in for a treat in this one too.

Adesanya has been on a hot streak in the middleweight division since entering the promotion. Vettori has managed to put together a 5-fight winning streak as well since his 2018 loss to ‘Stylebender’.

Israel Adesanya vs Marvin Vettori 2: Who gets it done?

Many believe Jan Blachowicz has laid out the blueprint to beat Adesanya in their clash at UFC 259. However, that’s not necessarily the case as ‘Stylebender’ has shown great takedown defense in the rest of his UFC career. Vettori will look to take the fight to the ground, one might assume.

But he might just have to face the best version of Adesanya to date as the champion will be determined to bounce back stronger than ever after suffering his first career loss. The fight obviously promises to be a banger.
