Israel Adesanya Chimes In On Recent Jon Jones-Dan Hooker Feud

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya took to social media and weighed in on a beef that is brewing in the MMA community. Chiefly, Adesanya’s teammate in Dan Hooker and Jon Jones went back and forth on Twitter and everyone took notice. Chiefly, the interaction was kicked off by Hooker, who insulted Jones for his disparaging statement about Chael Sonnen.

Sonnen found himself in hot water recently and Jon Jones commented on his run-in with the law. Once more details emerged about Sonnen’s incident in Las Vegas, Dan Hooker felt Jones shouldn’t have come out and chirped at Sonnen. This led Jon Jones to fire shots at Dan Hooker and a back-and-forth verbal spat was sparked off.

Dan Hooker wouldn’t let Jones go off so easily and he doubled down on his insults. It’s clear that Hooker and Jones clearly don’t like each other, given the way neither man held back.

Through it all, Israel Adesanya introduced himself in the equation, given his connection to both Hooker and Jones.

‘The Hangman’ is Adesanya’s long-time training partner over at City Kickboxing, while Jones and Adesanya have had their own verbal battles.

In fact, both men were talking about fighting each other for a long while and fans may get to see that match in the future.

Will we see Jon Jones face off against Israel Adesanya in 2022?

As mentioned earlier, the thought of Jones vs Adesanya was highly talked about in 2020 and 2021. However, after Adesanya’s loss to former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, the conversation about a potential fight died down. The Polish champion used his wrestling to ground Adesanya at will and fans believe Jones will be much more effective.

Jon Jones has been a credentialed wrestler throughout his career and has even taken down former Olympic wrestling captain Daniel Cormier. Not to mention, Jones has now bulked up considerably and will unlikely ever return to light heavyweight.
