UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya spares no opportunity to make fun of his opponents or even possible opponents. UFC fans will remember videos of him laughing at Jon Jones when the latter was arrested for alleged domestic abuse. And in true Stylebender fashion, he has doubled down on the racial expletives in his feud against Dricus Du Plessis, taking a shot at ‘Stilknocks’ on Instagram.

His hostile face-off against Dricus Du Plessis, which saw him repeatedly calling DDP the n-word, is the latest chapter in their feud, where the two have been going back and forth since DDP’s comments at UFC 285 press day, which Adesanya saw as questioning his African heritage. He posted a video on his Instagram with two simple words aimed at DDP.

Stylebender posted a story on his Instagram vibing to a song while driving. The song is at a point where the n-word is being chanted repeatedly. Adesanya wrote a two-word caption with a flag of South Africa:  Feel me!”.

This is no doubt a reference to their in-cage verbal confrontation at UFC 290 following DDP’s victory over Robert Whittaker, where Izzy repeatedly used the n-word. It seems Israel Adesanya is raring to fight Du Plessis. But why would Adesanya, who sits atop the middleweight division after reclaiming his title from Alex Pereira, want to fight relative newcomer Du Plessis?

Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis feud

Their feud began when Dricus Du Plessis told reporters that he didn’t think the UFC belts won by African champions Kamaru Usman, Francis Ngannou, and Israel Adesanya ever actually went to Africa since all three reside and train outside Africa. ‘Stillknocks’ finished by declaring that if he becomes champion, he will be the first African champion who lives there.

Izzy, takes pride in his Yoruba roots. He saw this as a challenge to his African heritage and fired back at DDP. However, Du Plessis later clarified he didn’t mean to question the champions’ heritage.
