Israel Adesanya and Michael Chandler are in attendance at UFC 300 at the T-Mobile Arena and the former middleweight champion has already made their little meet-up hilarious and wholesome. That’s right, Chandler and ‘Izzy’ crossed paths but it wasn’t without the jokes.

The duo arrived at the venue early but the seats were not even completely full. We know this because Adesanya shared a video of him sitting front row with just about no one else. Regardless, before getting to his seat, he met with Chandler and the two clicked a picture which was soon turned into a meme.

Michael Chandler is a lightweight UFC fighter and a proud father to two sons. Hap and Ace are both the adopted sons of Michael Chandler and his wife, Brie Chandler. While Hap was adopted back in 2017, Ace was born and adopted at birth in 2022.

Trying to poke fun with that aspect in mind, Israel Adesanya took to his Instagram stories with a picture of the two and a caption that said, “Plot Twist: I’ve adopted Mike”. Of course, it’s all just fun and games and fans couldn’t have enough.

Chandler’s son, Ace was recently welcomed into the family too. This was reportedly after his first son, Hap, wanted to have a baby brother who looked just like him. Hap’s adoption was an interesting occasion too. Chandler reported filling out all the applications and getting a call just six minutes later!

“He’s a little bit older than we’d wanted,” Chandler said. “We wanted a newborn to six months. It’s just funny how you have your preferences and you have your plans and then all of a sudden God just says, nope. He was nine months old. They sent us his picture, and as soon as I saw it I got this feeling inside of me, and I started tearing up. I was just like: ‘That’s my son.’” Clearly, some things are just meant to be. Just like the return of ‘Izzy’ with Dan Hooker.

Dan Hooker and Israel Adesanya have previously sat down together to break down UFC 300 and more. Now, it would appear that the two will come together once again for a video where they’ll share more of their highly appreciated insight.

Adesanya shared a rather classy poster of him and Hooker sitting inside of a card and it was titled “HANGBENDER Part 2.” The date Adesanya gave for the potential collaboration was April the 13th, which is the date of the famous pay-per-view.
