Former middleweight UFC world champion Robert Whittaker locked horns with former title challenger Marvin Vettori in the co-main event of UFC Paris. The Aussie athlete showed there are levels to the middleweight division, and he stands on top of the mountain with the champion Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya.

‘The Reaper’ looked in his prime fight form as he touched the Italian athlete in the first two rounds and appeared to take the lead. However, ‘The Italian Dream’ charged forward in the third round with the absolute intent of turning around the contest.

In the final round, the over-aggressive Vettori paid the price as ‘Bobby Knuckles’ landed a timely head kick to stun the Kings MMA standout.

‘The Reaper’ Whittaker dominated the bout and won it via a unanimous decision.

Throughout the contest, Robert Whittaker looked faster and seemed the more elite of the two fighters as he capitalized on minute mistakes by Vettori. The former UFC champion looked phenomenal while doing so.

Another UFC light heavyweight contender was eager for more from the UFC Paris co-main event.

UFC heavyweight champion Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou saw reason to praise Israel Adesanya after watching Whittaker beat ‘The Italian Dream’.

Dillon Danis also echoed the same sentiment.

Israel Adesanya seemingly took a subtle dig at both middleweight fighters.

“I make people hate fighting… I’m always gunning for that title,” the former world champion said in his post-fight interview.
