UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell stands out amongst his peers due to his unique and peculiar personality. The 28-year-old who last fought back in December 2022 is often seen interacting with his fans on social media on a wide array of topics. His views on ‘flat earth’ specifically had made quite a few headlines earlier and, surprisingly, his beliefs on this topic even landed him a role in a documentary on the same subject.

While that aspect of Mitchell is something that fans are very familiar with, a video clip that went viral recently brought to light another side of the 28-year-old. Interestingly, it was middleweight champ Israel Adesanya who happened to react to the clip on one of his breakdown videos meant for UFC 288. Mitchell, incidentally, was slated to fight on the same card before he had to pull out due to an injury.

The clip that Adesanya brought up had former UFC fighter James Krause narrate an incident involving ‘Thug Nasty’ and the events that followed which Krause claimed described “Bryce Mitchell in a nutshell.” 

Krause,36, starts off the clip describing what was a normal get-together with his friends before Mitchell, who was also present, headed off into Krause’s bedroom to take a call from his girlfriend. After noticing that the 28-year-old was in the bedroom for a surprisingly long time, he decided to head into the room in a bid to find out what Mitchell was up to.

To his amusement, Krause found him sleeping on his bed and, interestingly, noticed that Mitchell had a pair of socks on, which he had earlier borrowed.

“He also borrowed a pair of my socks and he had them on,” Krause recalled. That’s where the story got amusing, as the 36-year-old went on to narrate the rather amusing events that followed.

 “I said dude what are you doing he said, ‘Man my girlfriend got talking to me and I rubbed one out’ and I said,’ Bro what are you… hold on a second what are you talking about?” he said.

Krause then stated how Mitchell even used his socks to clean the mess that he had created before falling asleep. For the 36-year-old, the fact that Mitchell didn’t have any second thoughts before his act was what left him a bit dumbstruck.

As per Krause, ‘Thug Nasty’ then pulled off yet another stunt by wearing the same pair of socks before heading out.

When will Bryce Mitchell make a return?

This story definitely brought Mitchell back into the limelight again. Having not fought since December 2022, Mitchell would have hoped to make a strong return at UFC 288.

Unfortunately, the 28-year-old might have to wait a bit longer before making his comeback, as a back injury forced him out of this weekend’s event.
