Israel Adesanya Says He Will Utilize the Quarantine Period in Making Exclusive Jon Jones Memes

UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has been extremely active on Twitter following his statement victory at UFC 253 against Paulo Costa. ‘The Last Stylebender’ has been relentlessly trolling Costa on social media ever since he brutally TKO’ed the latter in the second round.

Currently, Israel Adesanya is isolated for mandatory quarantine before he can enter his home country, New Zealand. The fighter is certainly finding ways to keep himself entertained during this time, and Paulo Costa is his core subject.

Moreover, ‘Izzy’ has proclaimed that he’s turned his sights onto a new target- former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. The two fighters have been going back and forth in the media for several months.

Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have a history of bad blood between them

Both the aforementioned athletes are among the biggest stars actively competing in the sport today. Talks for a fight between the two circulated once Adesanya rose through the ranks of the promotion. Adesanya and Jones have accused each other of being jealous of the other’s success, and there is no love lost between them.

The Nigerian born champion spoke to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani about ‘Bones’ Jones and had nothing positive to say. He touched on the narrative that Jones was jealous of his success and ‘The Last Stylebender’ went off.

“He’s the one saying something like ‘Oh, you need me. You keep mentioning my name’. Who’s the one who’s been talking about whom?… So I’m gonna address him now, hey Jon, shut the fu*k up forever.

“Like I said, you need me. I’ve said this before, he’s jealous. He saw this young black guy, this freshman comes up and do all the things he wishes he could have done.”

Jon Jones recently relinquished his 205-pound title in search of attaining heavyweight gold in the promotion. Although the aforementioned combatants are two divisions apart, it is likely that they meet in the middle. Fans of the sport have been calling for the bout to take place, and there is no doubt that it would receive viewership. The victor of their bout will certainly boost their respective profiles to astronomical levels after the super-fight is in the books.
