Dana White was asked to elaborate on a possible timeline wherein the super-fight could play out. Although White didn’t have a definitive date in mind, he was keen to actualize the fight for the fans. Furthermore, he also touched upon Israel Adesanya’s rising stock in the company.

“It doesn’t depend on what I want; it depends on what they want to do,” White said. “Adesanya is a champ. He’s really coming into his own, and you can tell he knows this is his house, and he comes and acts like it. Both the aforementioned elite UFC fighters have their work cut out for them at their respective weight classes. ‘The Last Stylebender’ will look to scalp some more highlight-reel finishes over the murderous row of middleweights lined up for contention. On the other hand, Jones has recently moved up to heavyweight and will eye Stipe Miocic’s gold strap.

Although a weight class separates them, the general understanding is that fighters will meet in the middle. Given the animosity built up, the potential bout would be a certified clinic. Also, their elite MMA skills will bring in more eyeballs to determine who the best fighter on the planet truly is.
