When Sean Strickland brought up Israel Adesanya‘s questionable behavior with his late pet dog, Millionaire, it supposedly became the highlight of the UFC 293 pressers. He laid down a barrage of insults on the former 2-time champion regarding that matter. Now, that issue has come to haunt Adesanya back, as Dricus Du Plessis didn’t leave the opportunity to remind ‘Izzy’ about it.

Things were already hot between Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya, but it got even much more heated during the UFC 305 press conference. Israel Adesanya even broke down in tears while promising to take ‘Stillknocks’s “head off.” However, minutes before that, a reporter decided to ask for ‘Izzy’s reaction to him not being listed as the favorite to win. Understandably, the former 2-time champion was surprised.

Israel Adesanya asked, “When did I become the underdog?” That’s when Dricus Du Plessis decided to jibe at the former champion, referring to the controversy with his late pet dog. “Nobody said anything about dogs, bro. Chill out,” Du Plessis responded. There was no doubt that Adesanya was visibly triggered by that comment, but he couldn’t help giving a little laughter at the reigning champion’s comment.

Meanwhile, let’s discuss the opinion of Sean Strickland regarding Israel Adesanya and his dog. Unfortunately, these nightmare-ish comments have stayed in fans’ minds since then.

What was said about Israel Adesanya and the video with his dog?

Israel Adesanya is by no means new to controversies. If getting dropped by BMW for some inappropriate trash talk back in 2021 to Kevin Holland wasn’t a big controversy, the video of some questionable behavior with his late pet dog might just be it. As such, Strickland left no stone unturned when he jibed at Adesanya regarding it. ‘Tarzan’ would go on to say that ‘Izzy’ should be brought to the attention of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for the controversial video.

Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya didn’t stay shut. He was annoyed by the comments about this dog, who he claimed to have been a part of his family. Additionally, he’d also tweet out that he doesn’t need to get vocal about what happened in the video because Sean Strickland’s lies were apparently “more entertaining” for people who are in full support of the vocal former middleweight champion.

Dricus Du Plessis may have got into Israel Adesanya’s mind, who not only wants to get back to winning but also wants to destroy the South African. What do you think? Did Du Plessis go a bit too far with the dog comment? Drop your comments below.
